Ce film a été pour ainsi dire écrit pour les acteurs principaux. NkemOwoh est parvenu voici quelques années à percer dans le cinéma avec le plus grand succès comique de Nollywood à cette date, Osofia in London, où il jouait le rôle du mari pataud et sympathique d’une femme blanche. Quant à Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, elle compte parmi les plus grandes stars du métier, envoûtant femmes et hommes à l’écran comme dans la vie avec un nouveau féminisme à la nigériane.

Synopsis
In this comedy, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal plays the audacious and funny role of Eringa, a tyrannical and volatile wife who occasionally beats her husband Ulanda. This harsh treatment does not deter his loyalty, however, even when his entire family joins in to free him from the clutches of his wild beauty. A rural film endowed with an urban humor based on the switching of roles, Stronger Than Pain settles the score with Nigerian husbands and their traditional machismo.

This filmwas practically written for themain actors: Nkem Owoh has succeeded in making his mark in Nollywood with one of the greatest comedic successes of the time, Osofia in London, in which he played the clumsy yet endearing husband of a white woman. As for Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, she is one of the biggest stars on the circuit; her new Nigerian feminism fascinates men and women alike, both on screen and off.
