Dans "Exil et création" (1991), Laâbi envisageait déjà le rapport entre l'exil et la création sous un angle métaphorique surpassant la situation concrète de l'exilé, laquelle est inséparable de ce corps-ci et de ce monde-ci. L'abolition de l'exil correspond à l'élaboration d'une poétique et d'une conceptualisation originale du temps et de l'espace. L'interchangeabilité des lieux et l'évanouissement de la chronologie au profit d'un travail de mémoire dynamique et créateur, qui revivifie le passé et crée le futur, ordonnent l'écriture du Livre imprévu (2010). Ce livre se transmue et tâtonne en quête d'une forme et d'une vérité. Successivement, il prend des formes et des rythmes divers : un journal, une correspondance, une méditation poético-philosophique à propos de l'ici et de l'ailleurs, du passé et de l'avenir.

In "Exil et création" (1991), Laâbi had already considered the relationship between exile and creation from a metaphorical angle, which extends well beyond the concrete, material situation of exile, the latter being inseparable from the body and the world we live, or he lives, in. This abolition of exile corresponds to the elaboration of a poetics and a specific conceptualization of time and space. The interchangeability of places and the disappearance of chronology, in favour of a dynamic and creative work of memory that revives the past and creates the future, is what presides over the writing of Le Livre imprévu (2010). This book mutates and meanders, in its quest for form and truth. It in turns takes on different forms and rhythms : a diary, an exchange of letters, a poetic-philosophical meditation about the here and the elsewhere, the past and the future.

L'article étudie l'auto-anthologie du poète Abdellatif Laâbi, intitulée L'Arbre à poèmes et publiée dans la collection "Poésie / Gallimard" en 2016. Partie intégrante des "oeuvres-bilans" de l'auteur, elle réunit une sélection de poèmes parus entre 1992 et 2012 dans divers recueils. Après avoir défini la notion d'"auto-anthologie", nous interrogeons les choix qui ont présidé à la composition de cet objet littéraire, dans une perspective sociologique et poétique. L'oeuvre, placée sous le signe de la mobilité et du fragment, nous invite à relire une partie des poèmes de l'auteur, grâce à un travail de recomposition. Passant d'un ton et d'une forme à l'autre, par un jeu ludique de contrepoint et d'alternance constante, Laâbi propose d'explorer un "continent humain" et poétique qu'il n'a jamais cessé de sillonner.

This article examines the poet Abdellatif Laâbi's auto-anthology L'Arbre à poèmes, published in the "Poésie / Gallimard"collection in 2016. An integral part of the author's "summative works", it brings together a selection of poems published between 1992 and 2012 in various collections. After defining the notion of "auto-anthology", this article examines the choices that presided over the composition of this literary object from a sociological and poetic perspective. The collection, characterized by mobility and fragmentation, invites us to reread some of the author's poems, through a process of recomposition. Moving from one tone and form to another, in a playful game of counterpoint and constant alternation, Laâbi invites the reader to explore a poetic and "human continent" that he has never stopped roaming.

L'entrée d'Abdellatif Laâbi sur la scène littéraire marocaine, à partir de la seconde moitié des années 1960, correspond à ce que Matthieu Renault a appelé un "moment transitionnel" entre l'anticolonialisme et le postcolonialisme. Enraciné dans une expérience historique coloniale et dans un engagement politique et intellectuel anticolonial, Laâbi, comme beaucoup d'autres intellectuels et écrivains marocains, et plus généralement comme de nombreux acteurs culturels des anciennes colonies européennes, a cheminé progressivement vers une forme de pensée postcoloniale, bien qu'il n'ait jamais repris explicitement le mot ni le concept à son compte. Ce postcolonialisme se traduit notamment dans l'équilibre qu'il a trouvé entre son rapport au français comme langue d'écriture et son retour parallèle à la langue arabe comme langue des échanges intellectuels au sein du monde arabe et comme langue source et cible de traduction.

Abdellatif Laâbi's entry onto the Moroccan literary scene, from the second half of the 1960s onwards, corresponds to what Matthieu Renault has called a "transitional moment" between anticolonialism and postcolonialism. Rooted in a colonial historical experience and an anticolonial political and intellectual commitment, Laâbi, like many other Moroccan intellectuals and writers, and more generally like many cultural actors from the former European colonies, gradually moved towards a form of postcolonial thought, although he never explicitly endorsed the word or the concept. This postcolonialism is reflected in the balance he managed to strike between his relationship with French as the language he uses in his writings and his parallel return to Arabic as the language of his intellectual exchanges within the Arab world as well as as the source and target language of his work as a translator.

Le port de Port-Gentil, situé sur l'île Mandji au Gabon, s'est développé au fil de l'exploitation du bois puis du pétrole dans la péninsule. Cet article se propose d'étudier comment, dans le roman Petroleum de Bessora, le pétrole façonne la ville portuaire et l'oriente vers les profondeurs du territoire dans lequel elle s'inscrit. En effet, dans les fonds océaniques et terrestres qui abritent l'or noir, cristallise la résistance à l'emprise néocoloniale d'Elf-Gabon sur la région. Dans le roman, la matière pétrolière qui semble engluer le port revêt dès lors une double symbolique. Elle constitue d'abord une mémoire physique de l'exploitation, qui sédimente dans le lieu. À mesure que les acteurs non humains du récit réaffirment leur existence face à l'oppression pétrolière, elle finit toutefois par se recomposer afin de remettre en mouvement l'histoire de Port-Gentil.

The port city of Port-Gentil on Mandji Island in Gabon has flourished first because of logging and then because of oil exploitation in the peninsula. This article will study how, in the novel Petroleum by Bessora, oil shapes the city and turns it towards the depths of the territory it belongs to. Indeed, in the oceanic and in the terrestrial depths that harbour oil, the resistance to Elf-Gabon's neocolonial power on the region crystallizes. In the novel, the oil matter in which the port seems to be stuck then gets a double symbolic meaning. It is first a physical memory of exploitation that sediments in the location. As the non-human actors of the narrative stand against oil industry's oppression, it however tends to rearrange itself in order to set Port-Gentil's history in motion again.
