Date limite : 30 septembre 2017. Parmi les pays éligibles : Algérie, Comores, Djibouti, Égypte, Mauritanie, Maroc, Qatar, Tunisie, Yémen.
Les inscriptions sont ouvertes pour la première édition des Prix du Cinéma Arabe (Arab Film Awards). C’est une nouvelle initiative afin de célébrer le meilleur du cinéma arabe. Divisés en 18 catégories, les Awards sont ouverts à tous les films arabes des membres de l’Institut Arabe du Cinéma (AFI, ‎Arab Film Institute, association culturelle basée à Dubaï).



Films concernés : Films projetés dans des festivals de cinéma ou sortis en salle entre le 1er août 2016 et le 31 août 2017 sont éligibles. Les projets de films doivent avoir un(e) réalisateur/trice arabe ou d’origine arabe. Les candidats aux catégories individuelles doivent être d’origine arabe ou posséder un passeport arabe. 

 

Frais d’inscription : Les producteurs, distributeurs, institutions et professionnels arabes du cinéma doivent être membres de l’Institut Arabe du Cinéma (AFI, ‎Arab Film Institute), afin de pouvoir inscrire des films ou en tant que personnes. Pour cela, il faut adhérer à l’Institut Arabe du Cinéma (50% de réduction pour les premiers inscrits : l’adhésion est de 40 dollars américains jusqu’au 31 août 2017. Les films d’étudiants sont exempts de frais d’inscription.

Une fois les films inscrits, les membres de l’Institut (AFI) pourront voir les films en ligne du 1er novembre 2017 au 31 janvier 2018 et voter.

The Board of Directors of the Arab Film Institute (AFI) is thrilled to announce that submissions are now open for the First Arab Film Awards 2018.

Created to celebrate the best in Arab Cinema at a time when there is incredible global focus on Arab talent in the world of entertainment.

The Arab Film Awards are designed to encourage stimulate and recognize the considerable work of the Arab Film Professionals.

The Award Ceremony honors the work of the Arab film industry in the following 18 categories:
Best Narrative film
Non-fiction film
Director Narrative
Director Non-Fiction
Actor
Actress
Screenwriter
Director of Photography
Editor
Production Designer
Costume Designer
Hairdresser
Make-up Artist
Composer
Sound Design
Short Film
Student Film
Lifetime Achievement Award

Films participating in the Arab Film Awards must have had their first official screening (be it a festival or at a regular cinema release) after 1st August 2016 until the 31st August 2017.

Film projects must have a Director being a native Arab or with Arab origin.
Candidates for the individual categories must be of an Arab origin or bearer of an Arab passport.

Producers, distributors, Arab film institutions and individuals should be member of the Arab Film Institute in order to submit films for the Arab film Awards or for any other individual category of the Awards.

We encourage film professionals to register to our membership program.
Early bird registration for membership at 50% discount
Membership fee 40 US$ until 31st August 2017.

The memberships fees are set for all categories except for the student films.

Unlimited number of films from the same country can be selected or nominated.
There is no limitation to the number of films submitted every year.

Once the films are submitted, members of the Institute (AFI) can watch the films online from 1st November 2017 to 31st January 2018 and cast their votes for the selection of the winners.
