Le Pavillon africain de l’ACA au festival de Cannes

Porté cette année par le Sénégal
Le marché du film renoue avec deux pavillons Afrique au festival de Cannes.

Organisée par l’Agence Culturelle Africaine (ACA) et portée cette année par le Sénégal qui assure la présidence en exercice de l’Union Africaine, la plateforme des professionnels du continent et de ses diasporas s’installe au cœur du Marché du Film du Festival de Cannes. Pour la 4ème année consécutive, le cinéma africain sera au rendez-vous du film mondial du 17 au 28 mai 2022.

Agir pour le développement de l’industrie du film en Afrique
Cette année, les échanges et débats permettront d’approfondir la réflexion sur « les modèles stratégiques de développement et de croissance de l’industrie du cinéma et de l’audiovisuel en Afrique » tels que présentés dans le dernier rapport de l’UNESCO sur l’industrie du film en Afrique, en présence des acteurs clé du secteur et de délégations venues du continent.

Accompagner et former les jeunes talents
L’Agence Culturelle Africaine offre également l’opportunité à 8 jeunes réalisatrices et réalisateurs d’Afrique et de la diaspora, sélectionnés à travers son Programme « Talentueuses caméras d’Afrique », en partenariat avec les plus grands Festivals du continent (FESPACO, Durban, Carthage, Dakar Court, Clap Ivoire et RCF Madagascar) de présenter leurs projets et participer aux nombreuses rencontres professionnelles et masterclass organisées sur notre espace. Ils participeront également au Programme du Short Film Corner ainsi qu’aux activités organisées par la Semaine de la Critique, la Quinzaine des Réalisateurs, ACID et la Ville de Cannes, dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec notre plateforme.

Des Drink and Meet sur la plage privée du Rado Beach Helen

L’incontournable NUIT AFRICAINE, une soirée exceptionnelle pour mettre en valeur le riche patrimoine musical et culturel du continent. Chaque année, la NUIT AFRICAINE propose un focus sur un pays.
En 2022, la Nuit Africaine sera aux couleurs du Sénégal !



Rendez-vous sur le Stand 23.05 du Marché du Film du Festival de Cannes, LE lieu de rencontre des producteurs, acheteurs, distributeurs et programmateurs de festivals du continent !
La plage privée du Rado Beach Helen, située Boulevard de la Croisette, en face du Carlton et du Martinez, accueillera l’ensemble des professionnels et amis du cinéma africain pour des tables rondes et événements festifs.

Organised by the African Cultural Agency (ACA) and supported this year by Senegal, which holds the current presidency of the African Union, the platform for professionals from the continent and its diasporas is taking up residence at the heart of the Cannes Film Market. For the 4th consecutive year, African cinema will be at the World Film Meeting from 17 to 28 May 2022.



Acting for the development of the film industry in Africa
This year, the exchanges and debates will allow for further reflection on « Strategic models for the development and growth of the film and audiovisual industry in Africa » as presented in the latest UNESCO report on the film industry in Africa, in the presence of key players in the sector and delegations from the continent.


Supporting and training young talent
The Agence Culturelle Africaine is also offering the opportunity to 8 young directors from Africa and its diaspora, selected through its « Talented Cameras of Africa » Programme, in partnership with the continent’s biggest festivals (FESPACO, Durban, Carthage, Dakar Court, Clap Ivoire and RCF Madagascar) to present their projects and take part in the wide range of professional meetings and masterclasses organised in our space. They will also participate in the Short Film Corner programme as well as in the activities organised by the Semaine de la Critique, the Directors’ Fortnight, ACID and the City of Cannes, in the framework of a partnership with our platform.

The private beach of the Rado Beach Helen, located on Boulevard de la Croisette, opposite the Carlton and the Martinez, will welcome all the professionals and friends of African cinema for round tables and festive events.
