The musician works with his six-member band The Heaven Strivers which consists of a drummer, keyboardist, bassist, lead guitarist and two backing vocalists.

This time around, in a bid to improve himself, Chimuka recorded his current album at Monolio Studios with prominent guitarist Clive “Mono” Mukundu as lead guitarist and top vocalist Derick Mpofu as well as Esther Mkazika.



The first song, Denga Haringopindwi, is self explanatory, “Vanhu vanotaura kuti tinoda kuenda kudenga, vachizvitora sedambe, asi hazvisi nyore, haringopindwi, rinotoshandirwa”.

Another song, Mukana, is a ‘personal prayer’ where the musician is asking God for another chance , to be forgiven and accepted back as a child of the ever-loving, merciful and kind God.

“Mhuri yokwangu refers to the family from which I come, vekwaChimuka, and at the same time my Christian family, – all those who follow Christ asi vachiita mabasa akaipa, kuti siyai mabasa akaipa, huyai timunamate Mwari”

Other songs to listen to are, Zheve Yake Inonzwa, the title track, Muri Chiedza, Tenda Mwari, Tiratidze Zhira and Tivavarire Denga a typical Catholic jingle, usually sung at funerals.
