Popular Catholic music choir conductor and upcoming gospel musician, Collen ‘Codza’ Chimuka launched his second album at St Patricks Glen Norah Catholic Church, his home parish.

The Eight track album,, titled ‘ZHEVE YAKE INONZWA, is a follow-up to Codza’s first album which was titled, ‘Kurukura Nomusiki’. “Zheve yake inonzwa is a continuation of our previous album which was titled Kurukura Nomusiki. So we are saying Ukakurukura Nomusiki Zheve yake inonzwa, anenge akateerera”. Said the soft-spoken Codza.

The first song, Denga Haringopindwi, is self explanatory, “Vanhu vanotaura kuti tinoda kuenda kudenga, vachizvitora sedambe, asi hazvisi nyore, haringopindwi, rinotoshandirwa”.

Another song, Mukana, is a ‘personal prayer’ where the musician is asking God for another chance , to be forgiven and accepted back as a child of the ever-loving, merciful and kind God.

“Mhuri yokwangu refers to the family from which I come, vekwaChimuka, and at the same time my Christian family, – all those who follow Christ asi vachiita mabasa akaipa, kuti siyai mabasa akaipa, huyai timunamate Mwari”

Other songs to listen to are, Zheve Yake Inonzwa, the title track, Muri Chiedza, Tenda Mwari, Tiratidze Zhira and Tivavarire Denga a typical Catholic jingle, usually sung at funerals.
