Antonella Monzoni’s visit to Ethiopia was not confined to public locations such as bars, restaurants and cafés. She soon managed to gain the trust of the people and build a relationship with them, so that they even took her into their homes. What she finds appears magical to her. In spite of the simple life with all its deprivations, the people radiate pride. Enchanted by the light and the intense colors, Monzoni captures the dignity and beauty of the unfamiliar lifestyle in her pictures.
