2014 Lineup Announced!
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), presented by UGG® Australia, announces its highly-anticipated line-up for 2014. The 29th edition offers a vast array of films representing 60 countries and a rich selection of films sure to delight audiences from all reaches of the globe.

2014 Poster Unveiled!
The 2014 poster, once again created by the talented Barbara Boros, captures the essence of Santa Barbara while also highlighting the element of films and filmmaking.

Cinema Vanguard Award – Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio with the Cinema Vanguard Award at the 29th edition of the Fest. The award presentation and evening tribute, sponsored by lynda.com, will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the historic Arlington Theatre.

« BEFORE » Trilogy with Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke and Richard Linklater
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will present the critically acclaimed Before trilogy: Before Sunrise, Before Sunset and Before Midnight with an in-depth conversation with co-screenwriters Ethan Hawke, Julie Delpy and Richard Linklater following the third film. The screenings and conversation will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the historic Lobero Theatre. Admission for these screenings will be via Festival Passes and MiniPaks.

American Riviera – Robert Redford
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor actor, director and producer Robert Redford with the American Riviera Award at the 29th edition of the Fest. The Tribute, sponsored by Sunstone Winery, will take place on Friday, February 7.

Seven actors to receive the 2014 Virtuosos Award
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival continues its tradition of honoring the year’s standout performers by presenting The 2014 Virtuosos Award to Daniel Brühl (Rush), Adèle Exarchopoulos (Blue Is The Warmest Color), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) and June Squibb (Nebraska). The Award presentation, sponsored by Travel + Leisure, will take place Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the Arlington Theatre.

Modern Master – Emma Thompson
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor actor, screenwriter and producer Emma Thompson with the Modern Master Award. The Tribute will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the historic Arlington Theatre and is sponsored by Adobe.

Montecito Award – Oprah Winfrey
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is proud to announce that it will honor Oprah Winfrey with the prestigious Montecito Award presented by UGG® Australia at the 29th edition of the Festival on behalf of her inspirational performance in Lee Daniels’ The Butler and as a celebration of her overall career. The Tribute will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the historic Arlington Theatre.

Outstanding Performer of the Year – Cate Blanchett
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is proud to present the 2014 Outstanding Performer of the Year Award presented by UGG® Australia to Academy Award winning actress Cate Blanchett on Saturday, February 1. She will be honored with a Tribute celebrating her compelling performance in Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine

Forest Whitaker to receive the Kirk Douglas Award
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s eighth annual KIRK DOUGLAS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN FILM will be presented to Academy Award-winning actor FOREST WHITAKER. Guests will gather to celebrate his achievements at a black-tie Gala dinner at Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara on Sunday, January 5, 2014.
