Jinja’s Got Talent@ The Bourbon Jinja

English

Let's be real here… if you live in Jinja, you probably have your fair share of nights at The Bourbon. We do, too. So, let's make a thing of it and raise some money to help kids in Walukuba get a better education.

On November 29th, from 6-9pm, we're bringing you a talent show with a side of silent auction, a big old raffle prize and to top it off, a worthy cause to drink for.

5,000 UGX TO COMPETE (winner takes home all the cash)

10,000 UGX TO WATCH

TALENT SHOW:

Most importantly, this will be a night of entertainment. We want you to bring your weird and wonderful selves up on stage and show Jinja what you've got. If you can sing, break it down on the dance floor or twist your body into pretzel shapes, we want you. Juggle? Whistle extremely well? Do insane math equations in your head at lightening speed? Yeah, we want you, too.

If there are enough willing participants, we will also include a round for the awesome kids of Jinja at the beginning of the evening.

It only costs 5,000 UGX to participate in the show and the winner GETS ALL THE MONEY! So, encourage all of your people to join in the fun… especially if you think you'll beat them.

SILENT AUCTION AND RAFFLE:

There will also be a bunch of opportunities for you to win some badass prizes. Whether you want to get into a bidding war at the silent auction or enter to win our raffle prize, you could get hooked up with goodies from all over town.

OTHER COOL STUFF THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

* You could come for free. What?! Yeah, it's true. If the stage isn't your thing but you want to come watch anyway, admission is 10,000 UGX. However, if you sign up 5 other people, you get 5,000 off your admission fee. Same goes for 10 people.. you'll get in for free, my friend. I know you have 10 friends, so spread the word and buy your tickets early.

* There will be food for sale at prices even you volunteers can afford.

* A percentage of all drinks sold during the event will go towards Bulungi efforts. This means that for every beer, Zappa shot or gin and tonic you guzzle down, you'll be buying supplies for creative thinking lessons, paying a teacher's wages, helping a school build a library or even help fund our new teacher training program. You're going to drink on a Saturday night anyway, right? Do it for a good cause.
