In this upcoming year, a very auspicious year – THE CHINESE YEAR OF THE MONKEY, 4714 – the independent island nation of Barbados (November 30th, 1966) will be celebrating its 50^th year of independence on November 30^th.

 

Diplomatic relationships between Barbados and the People's Republic of China were established on May 30th, 1977, and since that time China has played a very integral role in the development of Barbados.

 

For this reason, on behalf of the Barbados delegation and the International Organizing team, I would like to invite and welcome you to the first, of what we hope will become an annual, event of its kind to be held in Barbados: 'The Gathering of Grandmasters’.

 

This event brings together some of the worlds' best and most renowned Chinese Martial Arts Practitioners in their respective disciplines, with their students, to help celebrate not only the independence of Barbados, but the relationship and strong camaraderie between the people of Barbados, the gracious People's Republic of China, and Hope Transplant International – A Recognized Humanitarian Non-Profit organization supporting the United Nations Universal Declaration for Peace and Human Rights, worldwide.

 

This event has been scheduled to span three (3) days prior to the actual day of independence, from November 25th through the 27th, 2016, and with your participation is slated to be remembered in the annals of Barbadian-Chinese diplomatic relationships.

 

From registration to scheduled Masters’ demonstrations and seminars, participant exhibitions, competition, awards banquets, forums, sightseeing, entertainment and more, you will be welcomed, respected and treated like TRUE masters.

 

This event is officially confirmed and we are slated to commence our Global advertising campaign from the third week of January 2016. As part of the honor of your attendance, we also would like for you to suggest to us other esteemed colleagues, teams, schools, etc. that you feel would enjoy three to five days in this Caribbean paradise to demonstrate their acumen/skills in the Chinese martial arts.
