International Festival of Cinema and Indigenous Arts in Wallmapu – FICWALLMAPU 2021

El Festival Internacional de Cine y las Artes Indígenas y Afrodescendientes en Wallmapu, se realiza en Temuco desde el 2015, con la colaboración de diferentes organizaciones sociales, colectivos, agrupaciones, académicos, estudiantes y profesionales de la comunicación, mapuche y no mapuche vinculado/as al mundo del cine, la fotografía y las comunicaciones.
The selected works will be part of the official programme of the festival and will beexhibited in our various theaters within FICWALLMAPU 2020 on Temuco, Chile and Rosario, Argentina. Those meriting special mention by the International Jury will be part of a DVD that will circulate and be distributed without charge throughout different territories, Lof, communities and educational institutions, neighbourhoods and communites, among other places.

Las realizaciones audiovisuales que sean postuladas a Ficwallmapu deben respetar las miradas y voces propias de las distintas comunidades de Pueblos Originarios y/o Afrodescendientes participantes en los proceso detrás y delante de cámaras.
El festival privilegiará la selección de películas que contribuyan a procesos de descolonización y en sintonía con los valores y cosmovisiones de los pueblos participantes, alejándonos de aquellas realizaciones que promuevan apropiación cultural, estereotipos, discriminación, prejuicios, machismo, propaganda directa de partidos políticos, entre otros aspectos que vayan en detrimento o perjuicio de los pueblos.
En su sexta edición, Ficwallmapu convoca con particular interés a las películas que aborden el derecho de autodeterminación de los Pueblos Originarios y/o Afrodescendientes y que visibilicen propuestas de gobernanzas, economías, derechos sociales y culturales a partir de una mirada y carácter decolonial.

Indigenous Arts Block, with the short films: « Acorde al Muro – Kalfukeo », « Emergence », « Katatjatuuk Kangirsumi », « My Favorite Food is Indian Tacos, my Favorite Drink is Iced Tea and my Favorite Thing is Drumming », « We are men cascabel »and »Where You Have Indians You Have Forest / Onde Tem Índio Tem Floresta ».
Choyün block, outbreaks in Mapudungun, dedicated to childhood: « Alert at sea », « Let’s take care of animals », « The mystery of orito », « Newen. The sprouting of a seed « , » Hapao Koe Ite Henua (Let’s protect the earth) « , » The jaguar of the jungle « and » The Potion / The potion « .
Autonomies and indigenous governments block, with the films « Time is water », « Taiñ Rvpv / Our way », « Uncle Yim », « Meli » and « Ophir ».
And finally, the Ancestral Diversities Block, giving continuity to the central theme of the last edition: « Bartolina Xixa », « Chigualo », « Kapaemahu » and « Wüfko ».
CLOSURE
This Friday, January 29 at 10 p.m. the Tripal / Closure of the 6th Ficwallmapu will be held and it will be broadcast to the entire connected world through Ficwallmapu / Facebook, Instagram and Youtube.
