Le Festival International du Cinéma D’Auteur de Rabat (FICAR) est dédié au cinéma d’auteur, véritable cinéma d’art et de pensée sous toutes ses formes, aux films courageux, exigeants, intelligents, voire radicaux qui détruisent les clichés ; des films qui ont une urgence et une écriture personnelle dédiés à l’humanité sous toutes ses formes.
Le FICAR a pour vocation la rencontre et la connaissance des films, des auteurs et du public.
Le FICAR est une pratique alternative pour contrer la machine industrielle qui a mondialisé le goût et effacé le droit à la différence. Un festival contre un cinéma prédateur, contre le totalitarisme du goût ou sa participation active à la construction de la cathédrale de notre imaginaire ;
Le FICAR permet au cinéma d’être « un autre pays sur la carte », un nouveau continent dont nous sommes les citoyens.
Citoyens du cinéma unissez-vous ; nous vous invitons au « parfum de la salle obscure » où convergent tous les rêves ; Venez rêver ensemble dans un « second ventre » où tout le monde est le même dans « un temps retrouvé ».

The Rabat International Author Film Festival (FICAR) (Festival International du Cinema D’Auteur de Rabat) is dedicated to the Author cinema, a true cinema of art and thought in all its forms, to brave films, demanding, intelligent, even radicals who destroy the clichés; films that have an urgency and a personal writing dedicated to humanity in all its forms.
