Pour soutenir le lancement du Centre national du cinéma congolais, une délégation du Festival de Cannes (menée par son délégué général, Thierry Frémaux) est invitée à Kinshasa, du 27 au 29 octobre 2025.

C'est à l'initiative du Collectif Okapi Films.

Les activités sont prévues les 28 et 29 octobre 2025 : rencontres, projection-débat, conférence.

The Festival de Cannes in Kinshasa 🇨🇩✨
From October 27 to 29, 2025, the Festival de Cannes is welcomed in Kinshasa to support the launch of the National Congolese Film Center - a major milestone in the development of a dynamic film industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Alongside Thierry Frémaux and the Okapi Films Collective - founded during the 78th Festival de Cannes around filmmaker Dieudo Hamadi - the visit brought together filmmakers, students, and cultural institutions for three days of conversations, encounters, and cinema.
This dialogue is part of one of the Festival's core missions: to celebrate cinema around the world and support creative voices wherever they emerge.
