The festival has grown to become the most prominent festival in the area of African music, modern and traditional. Many artists who have been to Hertme have later become world stars. The festival identifies itself by it’s relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the music and the exotic market. Music which also applies to the youth: refer to our Youtube films. The festival is organised, without subsidy by a working group of 7 volunteers, which, before, during and after the festival are assisted by more than 100 extra volunteers from Hertme and Borne. Unique in The Netherlands.
