This amazing coming of age story follows a group of Soweto teenagers who surf moving trains. Bitch Nigga, Lefa and Mzembe are three of the most notorious train surfers in Soweto and filming their lives was no walk in the park for the filmmakers. It involved following them onto the top of trains hurtling through Soweto, into the heroin dens of Hilbrow and into prisons with names like Sun City. « SURFING SOWETO » is the story of a forgotten generation and is filmed with riveting camera work. Think « Dogtown » and « The Z Boys » meets « Rebel Without A Cause ».
