Réalisé à Brazzaville, au Congo, BZV interroge des images généralement associées à l’Afrique. En inventant des situations plutôt paradoxales, comme celle du ski nautique, Everson présente la réalité africaine avec beaucoup plus d’authenticité que bien des documentaires qui se focalisent sur des données économiques et sociales. BZV montre comment un regard non stéréotypé peut produire un niveau et une forme de réalité entièrement nouveaux.

Made in Brazzaville, Congo, BZV questions the images conventionally associated with Africa. By inventing quite paradoxical situations, like the water-skiing, Everson presents a much more authentic image of African reality than many other documentaries by focusing solely on the economic and social datum. BZV shows how an unconventional gaze can produce a complete new level and form of reality.
