Qui se cache derrière ce boxeur sans visage plaqué sur toutes les boites d’allumettes de l’époque ? Quelle est l’histoire de ce champion aux coups de poings redoutables ? LA BOXEUSE retrace l’histoire unique de la découverte de la boxe à 17 ans d’Aminata. Coiffeuse, jeune femme un peu perdue, elle se laisse aller dans la vie lorsqu’il se fait renverser par un mystérieux chauffard à moto. Les gants de boxe rouges qui en tombent vont changer son destin. Ces gants mystiques vont l’entrainer dans une balade sensorielle et émotionnelle qui la transformera petit à petit en future championne. Elle va ainsi nous mener, au fil des scènes, dans le parcours qui fait de tout être un champion: les peurs, les doutes, les angoisses mais aussi l’excitation, la confiance en soi, la puissance et par-dessus tout, le sentiment d’avoir trouvé sa place, son rôle dans le monde grâce à une passion aussi vitale que l’air qu’il respire.

BOXING GIRL is a coming-of-age tale about a bored 17-year-old hairdresser who finds red boxing gloves after getting hit by a motorbike in Dakar. As soon as she puts them on, she gets mysteriously carried all over the city.

Right after being hit by a motorbike, seventeen-year-old hairdresser Adama finds a pair of red boxing gloves. Once she puts them on, she gets mysteriously carried away on a journey all over the city.

We are a few days away from Tabaski (Eid). Adama, aged 17, is a customer customer braid in her aunt’s hairdressing salon. Taking advantage of a race to escape, she wanders in the neighborhood when a chauffeur running at full speed lacks the reverse. The boxing gloves fallen from the bike will train her in a crazy race.
