A Beyrouth, Riad a ouvert une boutique de matériel de chasse où ses anciens compagnons d’armes viennent se remémorer autour d’un café leurs vieux faits d’armes du temps de la guerre civile. Intervieweuse habile et tenace, Myriam El Hajj tente de remonter avec eux aux origines de cette violence, interrogeant au passage la capacité de sa génération à tourner le dos à cet héritage grégaire.

This film is a voices and icons’ collection. My voice tells the story of my grandmother’s exile from Algeria to France. The film scrolls in black and white, I tell her fights for her country, for her children. Back to the present : what is my grandmother’s heritage ?
