Marta, une jeune fille de 17- ans, passe ses vacances de Noël au Sénégal avec son père et son grand frère. La fascination de Marta pour Khouma – un caméraman sénégalais dont le travail est de filmer les excursions de touristes – va exacerber ses relations déjà problématiques avec son père.


Marta, 17 ans, passe à contre cœur des vacances au Sénégal en compagnie de son père et de son petit frère. Un jour, elle ouvre une porte qui donne accès à une zone réservée aux employés de l’hôtel. Elle rencontre alors Khouma, le photographe du club et Aïssatou une femme de ménage. Elle va découvrir un monde qui lui était totalement inconnu. Un nouveau voyage va enfin commencer…

Marta, a 17-year-old girl, is spending her Christmas holidays in Senegal with her father and her elder brother. Marta’s fascination with Khouma, a Senegalese cameraman whose job is to film tourist excursions, will exacerbate her already problematic relationship with her father. Khouma’s videos (a compendium of picture-postcard clichés that he shoots to gratify the tourists) will help Marta to discover the inner workings of the exotic holiday business. At the same time, she strikes up a friendship with Aissatou, a girl who cleans the hotel rooms – and this will end up being a more intense relationship than she had anticipated…
