Ponctué par l’intervention de l’historien Kalisa Rugano, ‘Rwanda : portraits du pardon’ explique la genèse du conflit et revient sur le processus de réconciliation.

Assumpta Mugiraneza, psychologue rwandaise, s’interroge sur les raisons du conflit et apporte une analyse sociologique sur ce besoin de rédemption. Comment apprendre de ses erreurs et transmettre un message de paix aux futures générations, qui n’ont pas
vécu le génocide ?

Comment ne pas répéter les mêmes erreurs ? Ce sont les questions auxquelles ce film tentera de répondre.

Dans un pays autrefois segmenté, la rhétorique du pardon permet un apprentissage de la démocratie et fait émerger de nouvelles solidarités.

Through 20 testimonies of genocidaires and their victims, Joel Karekezi paints the portrait of a bruised but appeased country. Punctuated by the intervention of historian Kalisa Rugano,’Rwanda: Portraits of Forgiveness’ explains the genesis of the conflict and looks back at the reconciliation process.

Assumpta Mugiraneza, a Rwandan psychologist, examines the reasons for the conflict and provides a sociological analysis of the need for redemption. How can we learn from our mistakes and pass on a message of peace to future generations who did not live through the genocide?
