C’est l’histoire du sultan Abdelmalek de la dynastie Saadi, exilé par ses propres frères du royaume. L’exil du roi ne l’empêchera pas de vivre vingt années riches en rebondissements (de 1560 à 1580). De l’inquisition espagnole à la bataille de Lepante, de la prison d’Alicante à la prise de Tunis, envahi par Don Sebastien, roi du Portugal. Le film dépeint l’épopée d’un sultan courageux à coup d’épées, de galops de chevaux et de villes et campagnes qui brulent. Abdelmalek retrouvera son pays envahi par Don Sebastian, roi du Portugal. Le film finit sur la fameuse bataille des trois rois (plus connue sous le nom bataille d’Oued al-Makhazin, 4 août 1458) qui mis fin au projet d’invasion du Maroc du roi portugais Sébastien I er.

Twenty years of the Mediterranean history, with extraordinary characters who will fight from 1560 to 1580. An epic made of horse gallops, violence and blood, as well as love, prayers, and tolerance. It is the story of men who came from harmattan, this blazing desert wind, and of Prince Abdelmalek, banished from his country by his own brothers. He will spend twenty years of his life out at sea, from an adventure to an other, from the Spanish Inquisition to the Battle of Lepanto, from the Alicante prison, to the Conquest of Tunis, before regaining his country, Morocco, invaded by Don Sebastian, King of Portugal.
