En juin 1985, le régime sud-africain a déclaré un premier état d'urgence, reconnaissant ainsi involontairement qu'il n'était plus en mesure de contenir l'escalade de la violence dans les ghettos. Le cinéaste, alors membre d'un groupe d'information d'une télévision étrangère, témoigne de la profondeur du conflit, ainsi que de l'étendue du grand mensonge blanc. Le film ne tente pas d'analyser le conflit, mais exprime plutôt l'état d'esprit qui régnait dans ce pays sous l'apartheid. Réalisateur : Michael Hammon

In June 1985, the South African regime declared a first state of emergency, an involuntary admission that they were no longer able to contain the escalating violence brewing in the ghettos. The filmmaker, who was at the time a member of a foreign TV news group, testifies about the depth of the conflict, as well as the extent of the great white lie.



The film does not attempt to analyze the conflict, but rather expresses the mindset that prevailed in this country under apartheid.
