À Salvador (Brésil), chaque année, il y a une grande fête traditionnelle pour le Senhor do Bonfim, où les fidèles, les touristes et les fêtards, se rendent en pèlerinage à la célèbre église pour nouer des rubans et faire des demandes. Deux frères, Pedro et Gabriel, ont entendu les histoires et les prières de leur grand-mère pour le Senhor do Bonfim et ont décidé de s’échapper de la maison le jour de la fête pour s’aventurer dans la foule afin d’essayer de demander un ballon de football, puisqu’ils ont grandi sans figure paternelle. Là, ils confrontent les récits de sa grand-mère, qui les élève avec sa mère, avec le parti actuel, en apportant des questions sur la religiosité, le syncrétisme, la manifestation populaire et l’importance de la famille.

In Salvador (Brazil), every year there is a big and traditional party for Senhor do Bonfim, where the faithful, tourists and revelers, pilgrimage to the famous church to tie ribbons and make requests. Two brothers, Pedro and Gabriel, heard their grandmother’s stories and prayers to Senhor do Bonfim and decided to escape from home on the day of the party to venture into the crowd to try to ask for a football, since they grew up without a paternal figure. There they confront the narratives of his grandmother, who raises them together with his mother, with the current party, bringing questions about religiosity, syncretism, popular manifestation, and the importance of the family.
