Tótem est un film choral sur la vie. Sol, sept ans, passe la journée chez son grand-père, aidant ses tantes Nuri et Alejandra à préparer une fête surprise qu’elles organisent pour le père de Sol, Tonatiuh. Alors que la lumière du jour décline, une atmosphère étrange et chaotique s’installe, brisant les liens qui unissent les membres d’une même famille. Sol comprendra que son monde est sur le point de changer radicalement, en embrassant l’essence du lâcher-prise et en chérissant le souffle de la vie.

Tótem is a choral film about life. Seven-year-old Sol spends the day at her grandfather’s home, helping her aunts Nuri and Alejandra with the preparations for a surprise party they are throwing for Sol’s father, Tonatiuh. As daylight fades, a strange and chaotic atmosphere takes over, shattering the bonds that hold a family together. Sol will come to understand that her world is about to change dramatically, embracing the essence of letting go and cherishing the breath of life.
