En avril 2019, un mouvement non violent dirigé par des jeunes au Soudan a renversé le régime militaire génocidaire au pouvoir depuis trois décennies. Après la chute, les Soudanais de tout le pays se sont rendus à Khartoum pour exiger une transition pacifique vers un régime civil. Là, ils ont organisé un sit-in de protestation, où l’art est devenu le moyen d’évoquer un nouveau Soudan. N’ayant rien connu d’autre que la propagande d’État à la télévision, un groupe de jeunes révolutionnaires incarnent une réalité alternative en tant qu’équipe de journal télévisé itinérante.

In April 2019, a nonviolent youth-led movement in Sudan toppled the genocidal military regime that had been in power for three decades. After the fall, Sudanese from across the country made their way to Khartoum to demand a peaceful transition to civilian rule. There they formed a sit-in protest, where art became the means to conjure a new Sudan. Having known nothing other than state-sponsored propaganda on TV, a group of young revolutionaries perform an alternate reality as a roaming television news crew.
