Le 1er novembre 1954, le Front de libération nationale de l'Algérie annonce la guerre pour l'indépendance du pays. La France, colonisatrice depuis 1830, s'empresse de renforcer son contingent militaire aux quatre coins du pays et d'empêcher l'avancée des rebelles. Un petit Chaoui, né dans une région montagneuse du pays, voit son enfance placide s'effondrer au milieu d'un feu croisé qu'il ne comprend pas.



Le récit, inspiré de témoignages réels, est construit avec des images issues des archives de l'armée française. De ce dialogue apparemment dissocié entre image et parole naît un hommage sensible à la mémoire qui repose dans les archives et à la voix ignorée de ses protagonistes.

Née à Popayán (Colombie) en 1993, Maria Alejandra Zuniga D. étudie la communication sociale à l'Université du Cauca. En même temps, préoccupé par la difficile réalité de sont pays elle a participé activement aux mouvements sociaux et populaires, au niveau local comme national, en produisant un important corpus de travail politique audiovisuel. Passionnée de cinéma, en 2017, elle vient en France et un an plus tard, elle est obtient un Master en histoire du cinéma à l'Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. En 2020 elle sort le court-métrage Montagne Égarée .

On November 1, 1954, the National Liberation Front of Algeria announced the war for the country's independence. Biofilmography of the Director



Born in Popayán (Colombia) in 1993, Maria Alejandra Zuniga D. studies social communication at the University of Cauca. At the same time, concerned by the difficult reality of her country, she actively participated in social and popular movements, both locally and nationally, producing an important body of audiovisual political work. Passionate about cinema, in 2017, she came to France and a year later, she obtained a Master's degree in cinema history at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. In 2020 she released the short film Montagne Égarée.

Nacida en Popayán (Colombia) en 1993, María Alejandra Zúñiga D. estudia comunicación social en la Universidad del Cauca. Paralelamente, preocupada por la difícil realidad de su país, participó activamente en movimientos sociales y populares, tanto a nivel local como nacional, produciendo un importante corpus de obra política audiovisual. Apasionada por el cine, en 2017 vino a Francia y un año después obtuvo una Maestría en Historia del Cine en la Universidad de París 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. En 2020 estrenó el cortometraje Montagne Égarée.
