Le père d’Azuka meurt subitement. Azuka, qui se retrouve seul et abandonné de tous, famille et amis, se voit obligé d’enterrer lui-même son père. Frappé et meurtri pour son acte honteux, il est sauvé par la princesse d’un village voisin, Umuofia, dont il tombe éperdument amoureux. L’Igwe, sorcier du village, qui a eu vent de l’amitié grandissante qui lie la princesse Umuofia et Azuka, jure la perte de ce dernier. Il prend au piège Azuka pour le sacrifier au dieu du tonnerre, Amadioha. Les amants survivront-ils à cette malédiction ?

Azuka’s father suddenly dies, and Azuka finds himself alone and abandoned by relatives and friends, has no choice but to bury his father all by himself. Beaten and battered for this shameful act, he is rescued by the princess of a neighbouring village. But the igwe, getting wind of the growing fondness between the two, vows to destroy Azuka.
