Dans la clinique de fortune d’un camp de réfugiés palestiniens en Cisjordanie, Chloé, une jeune obstétricienne québécoise, accompagne les femmes enceintes, sous la supervision de Michaël, un médecin d’origine française.

Entre les checkpoints et le Mur de séparation, Chloé rencontre la guerre et ceux qui la portent : Rand, une patiente pour laquelle Chloé développe une profonde affection ; Faysal, le frère aîné de Rand, résistant passionné ; Safi, le cadet de la famille, enfant brisé par la guerre qui rêve de voler au-delà des frontières ; et Ava, jeune militaire, voisine de palier de l’appartement de Chloé en Israël.

Cette rencontre entraîne Chloé dans une aventure de l’intime comme du territoire. Une aventure où elle perd ses repères, se déracine, chute. Certains voyages bouleversent et transforment. Certains voyagent font voler en éclats toutes certitudes. Pour Chloé, INCHA’ALLAH est de ces voyages-là.

Every day Chloé, a young doctor from Quebec, crosses the border into the West Bank in order to treat pregnant women in a Palestinian refugee camp. She has grown fond of one of her female patients, Rand, who sifts through rubbish looking for anything of use. She helps Rand’s older brother, Faysal, to put up posters drawing attention to the senseless death of a young boy run over by an Israeli army jeep. Chloé spends her evenings with her neighbour, Ava, an Israeli border guard who is sick of watching Palestinians being humiliated by her superiors. Instinctively, Chloé tries to create bridges between her friends on both sides. But as an outsider her attempts to move between two hostile worlds only threaten to uproot her still further – until things come to a head and she finds herself obliged to make a final decision.
Displaying an assured talent for loosening up this story of irreconcilable political perspectives, the filmmaker cleverly allows plenty of room for her young protagonists to bring their imagination into play. In this way, the children use their shoes to pretend they are on the phone to the Israeli president or dream of flying away like ‘Superman’.

Chloé, eine junge Ärztin aus Quebec, passiert täglich die Kontrollen an der Grenze des Westjordanlandes, um in einem palästinensischen Flüchtlingslager schwangere Frauen zu behandeln. Ihre Patientin Rand, die im Müll nach brauchbaren Dingen zum Leben sucht, ist ihr ebenso ans Herz gewachsen wie deren älterer Bruder Faysal, mit dem sie Plakate klebt, um auf den sinnlosen Tod eines von einem israelischen Armeejeep überrollten Jungen aufmerksam zu machen. Die Abende verbringt Chloé mit ihrer Nachbarin Ava, einer israelischen Grenzsoldatin, die die Demütigungen der Palästinenser durch ihre Vorgesetzten satt hat. Instinktiv sucht Chloé nach Brücken für ihre Freundschaften auf beiden Seiten. Aber ihr ständiger Wechsel zwischen den verfeindeten Welten droht die Außenseiterin immer weiter zu entwurzeln – bis sie im Brennpunkt der Ereignisse vor einer endgültigen Entscheidung steht.
