Le film s’intéresse à l’histoire de la ville de Dakar en enquêtant dans le milieu des Lêbous une ancienne tribu attachée à la terre et à ses ancêtres. Dakar Deuk raw est le premier nom donné à la capitale sénégalaise par les peuples autochtones. Une appellation qui traduit la protection des habitants de cette localité par des esprits magnifiés à travers des rituels mystiques et traditionnels, hélas en déperdition.

This film deals with the story of the town of Dakar through investigations in the Lêbou community, an old tribe still deep rooted in its land and its ancestors. Dakar Deuk raw is the first name given to the capital city of Senegal by the native people. This name reflects the protection of the inhabitants assured by spirits who are praised through mystical and traditional rituals which are unfortunately dying out.
