C’est l’histoire d’un jeune homme d’une famille paysanne pauvre adopté par une famille de cadres moyens qui ont aussi une fille adoptive.
Les deux jeunes tombent amoureux l’un de l’autre. Cette relation est clandestine et excitant ; ils pensent qu’ils sont frère et soeur jusqu’à ce qu’ils découvrent qu’ils ne le sont pas biologiquement.

Le film porte sur le secret familial et aborde les questions de l’infidélité dans le couple, la bigamie, l’inceste.

It is the story of a young child from poor peasant family adopted by a middleclass family and his adoptive sister. Their seemingly a brother-and sister relationship into a love affair is both clandestine and exciting, when they realize that they are not biologically related.
