À la suite de la guerre Anglo-Zulu, Cetshwayo, le roi destitué de l’empire Zulu, rencontre la reine Victoria pour lui demander de lui rendre son royaume. La reine souhaite qu’il lui parle de Shaka Zulu, celui qui fonda la nation Zulu.

Shaka Zulu, ce roi légendaire qui créa l’empire Zulu, était l’enfant illégitime d’un prince zulu et d’une jeune fille de la tribu Elangeni : Nandi.
Cette saga épique retrace le chemin parcouru par Shaka jusqu’au pouvoir, et la puissance de l’empire zulu qu’il a su créé à l’époque des colonies anglaises. Ce redoutable guerrier, souvent comparé à Napoléon, va révolutionner le continent africain par ses stratégies guerrières et son armée invincible.
