Deux jeunes femmes traversent. Très engagées dans les événements qui ont secoué la Tunisie en Janvier 2011, deux jeunes filles vont être confrontées aux pesanteurs de leurs familles. Solidaires et complices, y compris à la pâtisserie où elles travaillent, elles vont devoir, au rythme même de la Révolution Tunisienne, affirmer leur volonté d’émancipation et imposer, aussi bien à leurs familles qu’à leurs fiancés, leurs propres exigences. Dans une société livrée à elle-même, le parcours de Zeineb et Aïcha résonne comme la métaphore de toutes les incertitudes qui pèsent sur l’avenir politique du pays.
