The High Museum of Art, founded in 1905 as the Atlanta Art Association, is the leading art museum in the Southeastern United States. The Museum has two locations: the Meier-designed main facility is in Atlanta's Midtown arts and business district and the High Museum of Art Folk Art and Photography Galleries are downtown in the Georgia-Pacific Center. The High Museum of Art's collections include African art, 19th and 20th century American art, American decorative arts, European art, folk art, modern and contemporary art, and photography.
Museum hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, noon-5 p.m.; closed Mondays. General admission is adults; seniors and students; children 6-17; free for members and children under 6
