This story tells how a school is the children and their parents, forming its heart and overcoming obstacles which would inhibit growth and learning. The new teacher, Mr. Nvuu is a stiff man with a cane. But in the end he is won over by the spirit of enthusiasm amongst the children and their parents. The story is told as though by one of the young pupils, and children will delight in recognising many of their own universal experiences.
