Et c’est bien la seule vérité qu’il faut. » Depuis son assassinat le 30 août 1973, Jean Sénac n’a cessé d’imposer sa voix de poète visionnaire, qui a payé de sa vie le courage de ses positions et sa volonté de vérité. Il avait choisi le parti des indépendantistes, dans une Algérie où, tel Camus qui était son ami, il était né. Après la publication de ses œuvres poétiques complètes et de sa biographie par Bernard Mazo, la découverte de ses carnets secrets, qui fourmillent de notations intimes et d’interrogations politiques, de poèmes et de réflexions sur la création artistique et sur la société, sur l’amour, l’homosexualité et l’amitié, donne de cette personnalité hors du commun une image bouleversante qui le rapproche de ses frères en poésie Constantin Cavafis, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico García Lorca, René Char. De Jean Sénac (1926-1973) le Seuil a publié la biographie par Bernard Mazo et des poèmes, Pour une terre possible, dans la collection « Points Poésie ». Guy Dugas, responsable des Archives Sénac, assure l’édition de ces carnets retrouvés.

Since his assassination on August 30, 1973, Jean Sénac has continued to impose his voice as a visionary poet, who paid with his life for the courage of his positions and his desire for truth. He had chosen the independence party, in an Algeria where, like Camus who was his friend, he was born. After the publication of his complete poetic works and his biography by Bernard Mazo, the discovery of his secret notebooks, which are full of intimate notations and political questions, poems and reflections on artistic creation and on society, on the love, homosexuality and friendship gives this extraordinary personality a moving image that brings him closer to his brothers in poetry Constantin Cavafis, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Federico García Lorca, René Char.
