Arterial Network, par la présente, informe que sa Secrétaire Générale, Mme Ouafa Belgacem quitte officiellement sa position à compter du 31 Décembre 2012.
Mme Korkor Amarteifio, Présidente d’Arterial Network confie : « nous respectons la décision de Ouafa et la remercions beaucoup pour son engagement et son travail acharné pour Arterial Network et croyons aussi qu’elle restera au sein de la famille Arterial quelque soit sa destination prochaine. Nous lui souhaitons bien de choses dans ses futurs projets. »
Arterial Network a aussi le plaisir de vous annoncer que Peter Rorvik qui a récemment fini son travail comme directeur du dynamique Centre for Créative Arts a Durban en Afrique du Sud, prendra fonction comme le nouveau Secrétaire Général d’Arterial Network à partir de Janvier 2013.
Peter Rorvik était l’un des participants de la conférence qui a vu naitre Arterial Network sur l’Ile de Goree en mars 2007 et depuis 2 ans, servait aussi comme membre du comité de pilotage du Chapitre National d’Arterial Network en Afrique du Sud.
Bénéficiant d’une expérience étendue en terme d’organisation et de levée de fonds et aussi bien en terme de mise en réseau à travers le continent africain, Peter était l’un des candidats shortlist pour la position de Secrétaire Général. Il a dû retirer sa candidature du aux derniers engagements au sein du Centre for Créative Arts (CCA)
Le comite de pilotage d’Arterial Network a donc exhorté l’ancien Secrétaire Général Mike Van Graan à servir comme Secrétaire General jusqu’à la prise de fonctions de Peter Rorvik prévue pour janvier 2013 où il sera basé dans les locaux du secrétariat continental à Cape Town.
Peter Rorvik :
Peter Rorvik est l’ancien directeur de Centre for Créative Arts de l’Université KwaZulu-Natal), lequel est impliqué dans le développement de plates-formes créatives, l’échange interculturel, le développement de réseau, la formation, le développement d’audience et la coopération panafricaine et internationale stratégique dans les secteurs culturels. Les activités principales du Centre for Créative Arts comprennent l’organisation de quatre festivals annuels – Festival International de film de Durban, Time of the Writer, Jomba! Festial de Danse Contemporaine et le festival de Poésie Poetry Africa. Rorvik est aussi membre du Comité de pilotage de Projet Durban FilmMart.

Arterial Network today announced that its Secretary General, Ouafa Belgacem, will be leaving her position on 31 December 2012.
« We respect Ouafa’s decision and thank her for her hard work and commitment to Arterial Network, and trust that she will remain part of the Arterial family wherever she chooses to locate herself next. We wish her well in her future endeavours », said Ms Korkor Amarteifio, Chairperson of Arterial Network Steering Committee.
Arterial Network also announced that Peter Rorvik, who recently ended his tenure as Director of the dynamic Centre for Creative Arts (CCA) in Durban, will take up the position of Secretary General in January 2013.
Rorvik was a participant in the founding conference of Arterial Network on Goree Island in 2007 and has served on the Steering Committee of the South African National Chapter for the last two years. Rorvik – with extensive organisation and fundraising experience as well as artist networks across the African continent – was on the original shortlist for Secretary General but withdrew his application due to final commitments at the CCA.
The Steering Committee has invited former incumbent, Mike van Graan, to serve as the Acting Secretary General until Rorvik takes up his appointment in January 2013, when he will be based at the Secretariat offices in Cape Town.

Contemporary Dance Experience, and Poetry Africa. Rorvik is also on the Project Steering Committee of the Durban FilmMart.
