The Namibian Movie Collection – A Stakeholder’s Meeting
Friday, 28 February, 14h00 – 17h00
FNCC Cinema, Robert Mugabe Ave 118, Windhoek, Namibia
Free Entry
Five years after its inception, the Namibian Movie Collection (NMC), hosted at the FNCC library, is an impressive collection of films by Namibians and about Namibia. A stakeholders’ meeting looks at past achievements and the way forward.
The Namibian Movie Collection, initiated in 2009 by JoeVisionProduction, the FNCC, and AfricAvenir Windhoek, attempts to store, make accessible and promote Namibian film products to the Namibian public, political decision makers, potential investors into the Namibian film industry, filmmakers and the general public in and outside Namibia.
This get-together wants to inform members of the NMC about the status quo of the collection, lessons learnt in the past and the way forward. Participants will be briefed on recent developments, future plans and the great potential of the NMC.
The meeting is open to all interested parties.
