OUAGA FILM LAB, premier laboratoire de développement et de coproduction de projets cinématographiques en Afrique subsaharienne, lance son appel à projets pour sa 8e édition. Elle se déroulera mi-septembre 2023 à Ouagadougou.
OUAGA FILM LAB favorise des rencontres entre expert·e·s et talents du continent africain et leur mise en réseau avec les plateformes professionnelles du reste du monde. C’est un incubateur majeur de cinéma en Afrique qui s’appuie sur la préparation des compétences des producteur·trice·s, réalisateur·trice·s afin de renforcer leurs connaissances artistiques et techniques et faciliter ainsi leur accès aux fonds nationaux et internationaux de financement.
L’appel à projets est ouvert à tous les pays du continent africain, pour des projets de longs métrages (fiction ou documentaire). Au total, 10 projets seront sélectionnés. La qualité artistique des projets présentés et la sensibilité du sujet abordé sont les critères principaux de sélection.
A la fin du Lab, de nombreuses bourses de résidence d’écriture aussi bien en Afrique qu’en Europe seront décernées aux meilleurs projets.

Toute inscription doit respecter les critères énoncés dans le règlement et doit inclure tous les documents requis.

OUAGA FILM LAB, first development and co-production laboratory in sub-Saharan Africa, is launching its call for projects for its 8th edition which will take place mid-September 2023 in Ouagadougou.
OUAGA FILM LAB is a meeting platform for talents from the continent and international consultants. It is a major film incubator in Africa that relies on skills preparation of producers and directors in order to strengthen their competitiveness in the various international laboratories and to facilitate them access to local financing funds and international co-productions.
The call for projects is open to all countries of the African continent, for feature films (fiction or documentary). At the end of the call,10 projects will be selected. The artistic quality of the projects presented, as well as the sensitivity of the subject matter are the main selection criteria.
At the end of the Lab, several writing residency grants in Africa and Europe will be awarded to the best projects.

Registration deadline: May 15th, 2023, at 00:00 GMT
All entries must comply with the criteria set out in the rules & regulations and must include all the required documents. The file must be written in French or English.
Any candidate (director or producer) has the right to submit maximum 2 projects.
