La 8è édition du Festival de Film Documentaire de Tahiti dans le Pacifique, le plus grand rendez-vous d'images dans dans le pacifique, aura lieu en Polynésie française (Papeete) du 24 au 30 Janvier 2011.
La compétition est ouverte à quiconque aura réalisé un documentaire en Océanie, depuis moins de trois ans.

1st october, 2010 : The deadline for the entries approach. You have three more weeks to send your films.
The 8th edition of the Pacific International Documentary Film Festival of Tahiti, the largest crossroads of the pictures of the Pacific, will take place in french Polynesia (Papeete) from 24 - 30 January 2011. The competition is open to anyone having directed a documentary in Oceania, since less than three years.
Each year, FIFO selects, among more than 200 documentaries and screens the best productions. All films screened at the Festival will be eligible for the'Audience Prize'.Only Official Selection films screened for the Festival Jury will be eligible for the'Jury Grand Prize' and the three'Jury Special Prizes'. The award-winning filmmakers will also receive a cash prize.
The composition of the jury 2011 is in course of finalization ; we have right now the insurance of the presence of the following personnalities : Pierre Block de Fribert (France), Carol Hirschfeld (New Zealand), Emmanuel Kasarherou (New Caledonia), Jacques Martial (France), Hariet McKern (Australia), Florence Swamy (Fiji), Aruna Vasudev (India), Cay Wesnig (Germany).
We would like to welcome you to submit your films for FIFO 2011. There are no fees involved.
