Akwaaba Sound System at Fête de la Musique

The 2014 edition of Fête de la Musique (World Music Day), which will take place at the Alliance Française in Accra on Saturday June 21, will feature Akwaaba Sound System, who will set the the venue ablaze with a cocktail of activities.
DJs B Brave, Just-Ice & Mineral will pair up with MC Steloo as a well as percussionists and acrobatic dancers who will delight the audience with a variety of music styles ranging from highlife to zouglou, ndombolo and afrohouse.
Completely different from a music festival, the Fête de la Musique is above all a free popular fête, open to any participant (amateur or professional musicians) who wants to perform in it. This Music day allows the expression of all styles of music in a cheerful atmosphere.
It aims at a large audience, working to popularize musical practice for children and the youth from all social backgrounds. It gives an opportunity to communicate and share a very special moment through music.
The event, which will have an afternoon session for children, is being sponsored by Institut Français (Accra) and the Alliance Française in Accra.
