“Effective immediately, Hazel will be directly managed by Grajoh CEO Johnson Mujungu,” the group said in a message welcoming the Malawian to the Grajoh family.
While confirming that Grajoh had given her a full management and PR deal, Hazel Mak could not however be drawn to disclose how long the contract was.
Speaking to Nyasa Showbiz, she expressed her excitement: “I’m so stoked to be managed by the same person as Anne Kansiime. It’s great to have people that believe in what am doing”.
Deemed ‘Malawi Gold’ as described by The Nation newspaper, Hazel is known for her sensual vocals, catchy Afro-Soul, R ‘n’ B songs that represent the modern African empowered woman and representing Malawi on numerous occasions internationally.
She began singing at the age of 11 performing for various events and today, she has a repertoire of numerous projects with international and national artist sharing stages with the likes of Tinie Tempa, 2 Face, Hip Hop Pantsula, Blasto, The Very Best, Oliver Mtukudzi, Tay Grin, Lucius Band, Sauti Sol and Maskal.
Currently, Hazel is completing her highly anticipated second studio project called ‘Nyumba on Fire’ that boasts a mixture Afro-soul, R ‘n’ B, House and Pop sounds produced by Brian ‘Gods Favourite’ Nkata, Tendai Shaba, Chuka Royalty, Majumi ‘Majbeats’ Gondwe and executive producer Dominic ‘D1’ Sangalakula.
