La 6ème édition de Film Africa aura lieu dans plusieurs lieux dans la capitale britannique, Londres, du Vendredi 28 Octobre au Dimanche 06 Novembre 2016.
Films concernés : films africains et de ses diasporas, courts ou longs métrages, Fictions / Documentaires / Animation / Expérimental, sur tous les sujets.
Compétition : oui.
Le Baobab Award for Best Short Film récompense un-e cinéaste vivant et travaillant sur le continent. Le court métrage gagnant sera rediffusé, en particulier lors du prestigieux Gala de Clôture le 06 Novembre.
Tous les nouveaux longs métrages sont en compétition pour le AUF Audience Award for Best Feature Film, prix décerné par la Fondation Union Africaine et après choix du public.

The sixth edition of Film Africa will take place in venues across London from Friday 28 October to Sunday 6 November 2016. We’ll be presenting another wide-ranging programme of films from across Africa and its diaspora, including bold and imaginative features, topical and engrossing documentaries and an eclectic shorts programme. Save the date and get ready for 10 days of discovery, lively debate, family fun, industry insight, parties and live music!
Film Africa accepts films of all lengths and genres, including fiction, documentary, animation and experimental titles on any topic. Spread that call for submissions and make 2016 the best edition yet.
Film Africa Awards
Submissions may be eligible for the festival awards. The Baobab Award for Best Short Film exists to support filmmakers living and working on the continent and the winning short is screened twice during the festival, including at the prestigious Film Africa Closing Gala on 6 November. All new feature films will be in the running for the AUF Audience Award for Best Feature Film supported by the African Union Foundation and chosen by the audience.
