Après le carton de « Mamacita » en featuring avec Mister May D du Nigeria, Dibi Dobo est de retour ! Il s’était montré discret quant à ses projets musicaux. Mais ces dernières semaines, le chanteur a enfin dévoilé un nouveau single intitulé « Vézé Vézé ». En featuring avec KmiKz, il contribue à la montée en puissance d’une star naissante de la scène béninoise et à la promotion des artistes de chez lui. Le son « vézé vézé » est une belle sonorité issue d'un parfait mélange du Soyoyo et de l'Afrobeat. Ce son qui vous donne immanquablement envie de bouger vous emporte dans un rythme purement africain et root que les deux artistes nous proposent ici : ce sont des « trucs qui viennent de chez nous », pour reprendre les paroles de la chanson. Le message se veut universel et simple : pas besoin d’être riche avant de fêter, de chiller à l’africaine, avec 500 francs tout le monde est « high », en d’autres termes « vézé ».

 

Actuellement en Italie, tout sourit en ce moment à l'artiste Dibi Dobo qui intervient comme mécène de la fondation Buona Nascita au nom de la Fondation Soyimavo Music. Au sujet du son « Vézé vézé », il nous a confié : « Ce n’est pas que je ne peux pas chanter en français ou en anglais, mais j’ai une vision de l’Afrique de demain, sûre d’elle et affirmée sur la scène internationale. Je chante dans la langue qui véhicule ma pensée, c’est ma vision. Je veux qu’elle soit le reflet du potentiel de l’Afrique qui arrive en force. »
