L’équipe du OUAGA FILM LAB 2021 annonce la prolongation de l’appel à projets pour participer à la 6ème édition du Lab. La nouvelle date limite pour inscrire votre projet sur le site www.ouagafilmlab.net est le vendredi 4 juin 2021.
Pour sa 6ème édition OUAGA FILM LAB renouvelle son appel aux projets de longs-métrages en développement, fictions ou documentaires. Le présent appel s’adresse à des porteurs de projets africains dans le domaine du cinéma, dont le réalisateur est ressortissant d’un pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest, du Centre et des Grands Lacs et le producteur ressortissant d’un pays africain.
OUAGA FILM LAB est une plateforme de rencontres entre des jeunes talents du continent et des consultants internationaux. Elle instaure un dialogue direct à double-sens : entre les talents africains eux-mêmes ; et avec des professionnels du reste du monde, favorisant la mise en réseau et les échanges autour des difficultés inhérentes à la production cinématographique tant au niveau local qu’international.
OUAGA FILM LAB est le premier laboratoire de développement et de coproduction en Afrique de l’Ouest. Il a pour but principal le renforcement de la compétitivité des réalisateurs et producteurs des pays de la sous-région dans les différents grands laboratoires internationaux et la facilitation de leur accès aux fonds de financements locaux, à des coproductions internationales et à leur mise en étroite collaboration avec des mentors confirmés du continent.
Tout comme depuis de sa 4ème édition l’appel à projets est ouvert aux professionnels de l’Afrique de l’Ouest, de l’Afrique Centrale et de la région des Grands Lacs qui répondent aux critères énoncés dans le règlement de Ouaga Film Lab 2021.
À l’issue de l’appel à projets, un comité sélectionnera 10 projets cinématographiques qui seront invités à participer à cette plateforme. Le principal critère de sélection est la qualité artistique des projets présentés, ainsi que la sensibilité du sujet abordé.
L’inscription est gratuite et se fait en ligne sur le site.
Elle doit respecter les critères énoncés dans le règlement et doit être faite avant le 4 juin 2021 à minuit TU.
Les dossiers doivent être rédigés soit en français ou en anglais, les deux langues de travail du Lab.
Tout candidat (le réalisateur ou le producteur) a le droit de proposer plus d’un projet dans un maximum de deux projets.
Ce dossier comprend :
Le synopsis ou un traitement de 10 pages maximum ou 15 000 caractères,
La note d’intention du réalisateur (maximum 1 page),
La note d’intention du producteur (maximum 1 page),
Le curriculum-vitae (porté sur la filmographie) du réalisateur,
Le curriculum-vitae (porté sur la filmographie) du producteur,
La présentation de la société de production,
Le budget détaillé du projet (en monnaie locale et en euros),
Une copie du passeport du réalisateur,
Une copie du passeport du producteur,
Un lien Vimeo ou YouTube du dernier film du réalisateur ou du producteur sous-titrés en français ou en anglais (les courts et long-métrages sont acceptés).
Au terme de la semaine de formation, de rencontres et de présentations de projets, de nombreuses bourses de résidence d’écriture aussi bien en Afrique qu’en Europe seront décernées aux meilleurs projets.
L’édition 2021 se déroulera mi-octobre à Ouagadougou – les dates exactes seront communiquées dans les meilleurs délais, selon l’évolution de la situation sanitaire. Elle est organisée en étroite collaboration avec Sud Ecriture (Tunisie), l’EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), l’Institut français (IF Paris, IF Burkina Faso, la Fabrique des cinémas du Monde, la Cinémathèque Afrique), le Moulin d’Andé, le Festival international de film documentaire d’Agadir au Maroc (FIDADOC), le Groupe Ouest, le Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg ; ainsi qu’avec le soutien du Bureau Suisse de la Coopération au Burkina, le Centre National du Cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC), de l’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), de l’Institut Goethe de Ouagadougou, de Canal Plus, de TV5MONDE et du Ministère de la culture et du tourisme du Burkina Faso.

The OUAGA FILM LAB 2021 team announces the extension of the call for projects to participate in the 6th edition of the Lab. The new deadline to register your project on the website www.ouagafilmlab.net is Friday, June 4th, 2021.
For its 6th edition, Ouaga Film Lab renews its call for projects for feature films in development, fictions or documentaries. The following call for projects is opened to African project promoters (which director is coming from West, Central or Great Lakes Africa ; and the producer from any African country), in the field of cinema.
Ouaga Film Lab is a meeting platform for young talents from the continent and
international consultants. It establishes a direct two-way dialogue: between the African
talents themselves and with professionals from the whole world; promoting, networking
and exchanging around the inherent difficulties of film production, both locally and
internationally.
Ouaga Film Lab is the first development and co-production laboratory in West Africa. Its
main purpose is to strengthen the competitiveness of directors and producers of the
countries of the sub-region in the various international laboratories and to facilitate their
access to local financing funds, international co-productions and their close collaboration with
confirmed mentors from the continent.
As since its 4th edition, the call is to opened to professionals from West, Central or Great Lakes Africa, who fit the criteria set out in the 2021 regulations.
At the end of the call for projects, a committee will select 10 film projects that will be
invited to participate in the 6th edition of Ouaga Film Lab. The main selection criterias are
the artistic quality of the presented projects, as well as the sensitivity of the topic addressed.

– The copy of the director’s passport

– A Vimeo or YouTube link from the director’s last film, subtitled in French or English (short films and feature films are accepted).
At the end of this week of training, meetings and pitching of the projects, several prizes will be given to the best projects, so they can participate to international script writing residencies or coproduction markets.
