Le Festival international du film amateur de Kélibia (FIFAK) est l’un des plus importants festivals du monde pour les films amateurs, indépendants et d’écoles de cinéma. Il existe, en continuité, depuis 1964 ; ce qui fait de lui le premier festival international de cinéma à être organisé en Afrique et dans le monde arabe.
Des grands réalisateurs ou critiques sont passés par ce festival en participants ou en invités (jury, intervenants): Youssef Chahine, Nanni Moretti, Alain Bergala, David Reznak, Radhwane El Kachef, Clément Tapsoba, Ridha Béhi,…
Le FIFAK 2012 se déroulera à partir du 25 Août 2012 et durant huit jours.

La 27ème session du Festival International du Film Amateur aura lieu du 25 août au 01 Septembre 2012 à Kélibia. La ville de Kélibia, pôle d’attraction privilégié des touristes locaux en cette période d’été, accueillera environ 1500 cinéphiles, 300 cinéastes amateurs et étudiants en cinéma venus montrer leurs dernières créations (courts métrage) et échanger les expériences avec leurs homologues étrangers et les professionnels en la matière.
A l’intention de cette population cible et aux estivants de la ville, le comité prévoit les sections suivantes :
* Projection de films :
– compétitions nationale et internationale (amateurs et indépendants – écoles de cinéma
– Séances spéciales dédiées à un cinéma ou à un pays.
– Films pour enfants (courts et longs métrage)
* Ateliers pour les participants dirigés par des spécialistes tunisiens et étrangers
* Ateliers pour les enfants de Kélibia : (masques, marionnettes, bandes dessinées)
* Colloque animé par des spécialistes et universitaires.
* Discussions des films en compétition.
* Compétition nationale de scénarios et de photos
Le FIFAK comporte
1. La Compétition Internationale :
Cette compétition est ouverte aux films amateurs, indépendants ou d’étudiants, qu’importe l’origine et le type, en 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta.
2. La Compétition Nationale :
– Compétition de film d’Ecoles : Compétition ouverte aux films tunisiens produits par des écoles de cinéma, qu’importe le genre en 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta.
– Compétition de films amateurs et indépendants : Compétition ouverte aux films amateurs et indépendants tunisiens de toutes sortes en 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta et une durée maximum ne dépassant pas 30 minutes.
– Compétition scénarios et photos.
NB : la date de production ne doit pas excéder août 2010 et une durée maximum ne dépassant pas 30 minutes.

ORGANIZATION : The FIFAK is a film festival organized by the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation and the contribution of the Municipality of Kelibia and the Governorate of Nabeul.
GOALS AND OPTIONS :
– Facilitate the promotion and dissemination of works of amateur film.
– Allow amateur filmmakers to share their experiences including the discussion on films participants.
– Facilitate contacts between different national cultures.
EXERPT FROM REGULATIONS :
The FIFAK includes the following events :
1. The International Competition:
Competition open to amateur films, independent films and student films, of whatever origin, of any kind in 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta.
2. The National Competition :
– Film Competition of School : Competition open to Tunisian films produced by film schools of any kind in 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta.
– Competition of Amateur Films and Independent : Competition open to amateur and independent Tunisian films of all kinds in 35mm, 16mm, MiniDV, DVCam, Beta and a maximum not exceeding 30 minutes.
– Competition scenarios and photos. NB : the date of production must not be earlier than August 2010 and a maximum length not exceeding 30 minutes.
3. Information Section :
Open to films of thematic interest and / or artistic work and which do not corresponding to competition regulations.
4. Tribute to militant cinema.
5. Special sessions dedicated to a cinema or a country.
6. Symposia and meetings.
7. Discussion of the films in competition.
8. Workshops.
FESTIVAL PRIZES :
International Competition : The international jury of the festival will award the following prizes :
– 1st prize: The Golden Falcon.
– Special Jury Prize and Special Awards.
– 2nd prize: Silver medal.
– 3rd prize: Bronze medal.
National Competition : The national jury of the festival will award the following prizes :
1. competition of student films :
– 1st Prize: Gold medal : 1000DT
– Special Jury Prize : 800DT
– 2nd prize: Silver medal : 500DT
– 3rd prize: Bronze medal : 300DT
2. Amateur and independant films competition :
– 1st Prize: Gold medal : 1000DT
– Special Jury Prize : 800DT
– 2nd prize: Silver medal : 500DT
– 3rd prize: Bronze medal : 300DT
3. Screenplay Competition :
– Best Screenplay : 200 TD
4. Photo Competition :
– Best Picture : 200 TD
TERMS OF REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION : Each entry should include :
– The entry form.
– A photo of the director and a brief presentation of his earlier work.
– A photo of the shooting.
– A copy of the film MiniDV selection. If the original language of film or video tape appears to be an obstacle to understanding the work by Arab-speaking audiences, the author will make a transcript in French or English. Requests to participate must be received by the festival direction together with a copy of the video film MiniDV before August 01, 2012 for viewing by the selection committee.
