Présentation de la Société
L’objectif de la société est de miser sur la compétitivité de la culture africaine sur le marché international du dessin animé. Le choix de cette ligne éditoriale et de production relève d’un pari audacieux et complexe à la fois, s’insérant parfaitement dans le sillage de la mondialisation : Ce pari consiste en effet à s’inspirer des réalités africaines pour produire des dessins animés ou destinés au secteur en Europe, en Amérique, au Japon et, bien entendu, en Afrique.

D’un autre côté l’apport hautement culturel du projet est indéniable en ce sens qu’il participera à faire connaître à la génération des nouvelles technologies, à ne pas s’y tromper, les délices et les riches enseignements des contes africains. A l’heure actuelle, le marché international de l’animation favorise l’éclosion de toutes les énergies créatrices et encourage tout promoteur décidé à participer la promotion du genre dessin animé.

Pour le Sénégal et l’Afrique, cela représente une activité non négligeable pour le marché intérieur mais aussi pour l’exportation à l’international, participant ainsi à la consolidation de la position créative africaine. WAAW STUDIO n’est autre que le désir manifesté par deux jeunes entrepreneurs de réaliser un transfert de technologie et de savoir faire du Nord vers le sud et un transfert culturel du Sud vers le Nord. Il s’agit d’ouvrir une nouvelle orientation de la mise en valeur de ce qui fait la richesse de l’espace africain.

WAAW STUDIO est une structure de production et de réalisation technique de dessins animés, aussi bien pour séries et long-métrages que des formats courts en destination du WEB et de la téléphonie mobile.

About the company

The company’s goal is to bet on the competitiveness of African culture in the international market of animated movies. The choice of this editorial and production policy is both a daring and complex bet although it perfectly finds its place in the wake of globalisation. In effect, this bet consists of drawing inspiration from African realities in order to produce animated movies aimed at the sector in Europe, America, Jamaica and of course, Africa.
On the other hand, the project’s highly cultural aspect is undeniable, in the sense that it will contribute to bring to light for the generation of new technologies the delights and the rich teachings of African tales. At present, the international market for animated movies favours the flourishing of creative energy and provides encouragement to all the promoters that are decided to participate in the promotion of animated movies.
For Senegal and Africa, this not only represents a crucial activity for the domestic market but also for international export thus contributing to the strengthening of Africa’s creative position. WAAW STUDIO is nothing else but the manifest desire of two young entrepreneurs to achieve technological and know-how transfer from North to South and a cultural transfer from South to North. It is about creating a new approach towards the enhancement of all the aspects of the African continent’s valuable heritage. WAAW STUDIO is structured as a producer of animated movies, both short serials and feature films, as well as short movies for the Internet and mobile phones.
