Rwanda Film Festival – RFF 2014
10ème édition. Thème : « La réflexion » (« Reflection »)

La 10e édition du Rwanda Film Festival se tient du 12 au 18 juillet 2014, avec le soutien l’Institut français du Rwanda et de la Cinémathèque Afrique. Elle a pour thème la réflexion et met la Chine à l’honneur.
Le festival présentera en film d’ouverture le documentaire « Intore » du réalisateur rwandais Éric Kabera. Conçue autour du thème de la réflexion, l’édition 2014 du festival propose une sélection de films qui abordent l’histoire contemporaine africaine et internationale ainsi qu’une rétrospective unique sur le Rwanda. La Chine sera à l’honneur de cette 10e édition.
La programmation à Kigali, Kiyovu et Nyamirambo comprend une trentaine de films dont « Mandela: A Long Walk to Freedom » de Justin Chadwick, avec Idris Elba et Naomie Harris, en film de clôture.
Une semaine avant le festival, se tient, du 6 au 13 juillet, la 4e édition du Maisha Film Lab à Kigali. 15 participants ont été sélectionnés pour participer à cet atelier d’écriture, réalisation et production. Ils seront encadrés par des professionnels du cinéma rwandais : Amy Boghani, scénariste et membre de la société de production Mirabai Films Maisha ; Joel Karekezi, réalisateur et producteur du long métrage « The Pardon » ; Cajetan Boy, producteur, scénariste, réalisateur, monteur et acteur ; Kivu Ruhorahoza, réalisateur du long métrage « Grey Matter » et Mattew Bell, producteur.
