CinemAfrica, Suède est une association bénévole non gouvernementale avec comme but la promotion du film africain.
Les activités consistent à l’organisation des festivals de cinéma et de séminaires ainsi que des présentations scolaires.
Actuellement, le cinéma en Suède est dominé par les films américains et européens. La possibilitée de voir des films africains sont minimes.
Nous voulons changer cette situation. Nous voulons completer l’offre culturelle par d’autres films et d’autres porte-parole. Par conséquant, nous montrons des films de qualité faits par des créateurs d’origine africaine.
Le plus grand choix se trouve aux festivals comme le Fespaco au Burkina Faso ou le Sithengi en Afrique du Sud.

CinemAfrica, Sweden is a non-profit film association with the main purpose to promote films from Africa made by Africans. We do that by organizing film festivals, seminars and we also offer screenings to universities and high schools. Our wish is to show Africa through African eyes and enlighten viewers about the complex reality of today’s Africa.
Sweden is dominated by mainstream cinema; we are confined to a European- and/or American-centric world-view. There are few opportunities to see African films in Sweden. We want to change that.
We show distinguished titles made by African moviemakers and we select the works mainly from festivals like Fespaco in Burkina Faso and Sithengi in South Africa.
About Us
CinemAfrica is a nonprofit organization that works to spread quality films from the African continent in Sweden., we show feature films, short films and documentaries made by filmmakers of African descent. CinemAfrica serves as a platform and forum for African quality films in Sweden., we are working to increase the supply of African films in cinemas, festivals, television, and for increased distribution on DVD. With the film’s help, we want to update the image of Africa and complement the Swedish cultural offerings with African images and voices.
CinemAfrica Film Festival in Stockholm is the largest festival of African film quality.
Festival is a recurring event every year since 1996, where we show the best and most current in African cinema. For the festival we also offer the current and prominent film makers and commentators to participate in seminars and discussions about the films we show.
We also conduct individual screenings, film breakfasts and seminars on topical issues and offer free film school film to schools across the country.
addition, we collaborate with other organizations and film festivals who want to show african film in conjunction with their events.

CinemAfrica är en ideell förening som arbetar med att sprida kvalitetsfilm från den afrikanska kontinenten i Sverige.
Vi visar spelfilmer, kortfilmer och dokumentärer gjorda av filmskapare med afrikanskt ursprung. CinemAfrica fungerar som en plattform och forum för afrikansk kvalitetsfilm i Sverige.
Vi arbetar för att öka utbudet av afrikansk film på biografer, festivaler, tv, samt för ökad distribution på dvd. Med filmens hjälp vill vi uppdatera bilden av Afrika och komplettera det svenska kulturutbudet med afrikanska bilder och röster.
CinemAfricas Filmfestival i Stockholm är Nordens största festival för afrikansk kvalitetsfilm.
Festivalen är ett återkommande evenemang varje år sedan 1996, där vi visar det bästa och mest aktuella inom afrikansk film. Till festivalen bjuder vi även in aktuella och framstående filmskapare och debattörer för att medverka i seminarier och samtal kring de filmer vi visar.
Vi genomför också enskilda filmvisningar, filmfrukostar och seminarier kring aktuella teman och erbjuder skolbio med gratis film till skolor runt om i landet.
Dessutom samarbetar vi med andra organisationer och filmfestivaler som vill visa afrikansk film i samband med sina arrangemang.
