la visite historique de Robert Kennedy en Afrique du Sud durant les années soixante où le régime d’apartheid était si oppressif.

Réal : Tami Gold & Larry Shore, Afrique du Sud/USA 2010 DOC

Drawing comparisons between the US Civil Rights Movement and South Africa’s struggle for freedom, this film tells how a visit by one man sent a ripple of hope across the land in the midst of one of the most oppressive periods of Apartheid. In 1966, US Senator Robert Kennedy landed in South Africa, and embarked on an historic journey, visiting universities and struggle heroes, complicating the Cold War fear of communism that characterised America’s unwillingness to stand against Apartheid. Filled with rare archival footage, RFK’s historic, but relatively unknown speeches, reignite a flame of hope for an undivided South Africa.
