Une réflexion sur la ségrégation dans les bus en Alabama dans les années 1955 dans les transports. Réalisatrice et Productrice: Akosua Adoma Owusu, USA, 2014, Ghana/Essai, 7 min 2015  (Obibini Pictures, LLC Ghana) | Nyaff – New York African Film Festival, USA * Selection – Shorts Program * Screening Tuesday, May 12th, 6:00pm (Introduction by MaameYaa Boafo) – Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center, Film Society of Lincoln Center

A civil rights-focused short film. It rearticulates the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott, a political and social protest against U.S. racial segregation on the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama, and its relationship to an educational video on school-bus safety. Actress MaameYaa Boafo restages a vintage video while reciting press-conference audio of Rosa Parks on a re-created set in New York City. An archival educational movie on public transportation is given ideological analysis through its recreation.
